Business in Zimbabwe is not a journey of lazy minded people, one must be extra creative to cope and be able to solve daily challenges of the business. In Zimbabwe business are negatively affected daily and if you used the copy and paste technique, it’s unfortunate sooner than the market knows your presence you will be closed.

Hard work
People are over bossing, staying at home and assign the workers to run through the day, this is a sign of lack of business mind, not knowledge. Such a business will never grow but will remain dwarf and sooner close, when you start your business you must be seen not only walking around the premises but strategizing on the growth and making policies and procedures of your business. These are designed from realizing how the business is running daily.

Punctuality
Punctuality earns you respect from your workers and business associates. If you are not all workers will lose respect on you, your associates will opt to exclude you in their associations. Respect is never demanded but is earned through the way you conduct yourself as a director of a business.

Professionalism
In all business ventures, whatever type of business professionalism is of paramount importance, some of us don’t understand why should he/she look professional, it’s because you are venturing into a professional field, find a coach if you feel you need training on professionalism, your business reputation has another wing linked to professionalism.

MOTIVATION-MONEY IS NOT ALWAYS THE MOTIVATOR

MOTIVATING YOUR WORKERS

Motivating is creating an interest and enjoyment in doing a task, that drives satisfaction in the heart of each individual involved in the task in question and a key tool to engagement in an organisation.

The problem is that most people don’t know how to create motivation for themselves, much less be able to ask for it from their bosses. On the flip side, as bosses, trying to motivate can seem like an endless rabbit hole that is far easier to ignore than to dive into. However if you need higher productivity it sounds insane to ignore motivating workers. Instilling motivation and build engagement is an ongoing process in an organisation, as one is satisfied today, the same want something better tomorrow and can't stay motivated by the former.

Motivation is a goal that ultimately falls into the hands of an individual, there’s only so much you can do as a boss, after all, but it’s important to create an environment where full motivation is possible. It’s your job to be the catalyst as a boss.

Money is not always the motivator, and i believe it can never be when we mean real motivation that builds engagement. Talking to your workers, just talking and your treatment towards them can be a sword that can cut through the barriers and instill motivation in your workers.
Below are simple five questions you can ask you workers to measure their level of motivation and these questions can even motivate your workers as well. 

1. What has been the most exciting work experience for you this month and why? 
2. Do you consider your current role your ideal job? What more could you be doing that would benefit the business -- and make the experience more enjoyable for you in the process?
3. Do you feel that you get purpose from our mission and vision? If not, tell me what gives you purpose -- and how you can leverage that mission for our business.
4. How can you justify your current job as your dream job?
5. From the experience and skills you gained which higher position do you think you can do well?
From the answers, you can measure and ascertain the level of motivation in each employee, as well these questions can make your workers motivated by creating an atmosphere of dependency, that is the company to the employee, the employee feels needed in the organisation and expect greater opportunities from question 5. 

However employees tend to give untrue answers when in an interview with their boss, you may yield compromised responses.

The market has grown and globalization is making it easy to find everything you want by clicking a mouse. Factually this means we are operating in a global market wherever you are. Competition globally is tough and that is the reason why most business are failing today, they cannot cope with global competition, so they decide to move out. This article is about keeping clients.
Brand Building
Today, brand building is crucial as opposed to ancient business running, ancient businesses were relaxing and building a brand was automatic as they provide their products in the market. Globalization and increased competition can’t allow that nowadays. You need to inform people and your prospective clientele that you are also in the market, and most importantly convincing them you can provide the service better than where they are getting.

Branding building can be costly because it’s a time of taking people away from where they were, so probably you have to prove by fetching from the business pocket but expecting little return, it is a foundation stage of any business. First impression is key in winning clients from competitors, there are several factors that are bundled in measuring first impression.

Your welcome of new and existing clients into your business must surely presents a welcome, a client must feel relevant and needed in your warm welcome, people tend to welcome with an unwelcome face.

Language
The language used in business must be business language, even if you know the client from social circles, when in business it must be business language.

Service
As said above though you might know the client socially, serve the client as a client not as a friend, when out of business doors that’s where you can call names and do your funnies as friends, people tend to lose professionalism when such a scenario happens. Don’t take long with a client, he/she will note your weaknesses as an individual and or organisational loopholes.

Farewell
Your farewell should be earlier than client’s expectation, your service must be professional, friendly, faster and accurate. The client must feel like turning back even if he/she doesn’t have any business just to re-experience your sweet service.
Note: a person who serves clients must be cautious, low errors, fast service, keeping professionalism and accuracy. These features must be studied before one is put on a customer facing position.
