Starting a Business- in Zimbabwe.

Starting a business is one of the best decision one can make in life, mostly it is prompted by the desire to have time with your family, work flexibly, make higher earnings and etc. A business is a journey of discoveries- learning from failures, exploring, happiness and satisfaction. However it can turn to be a journey of confusion,disappointments, failures, sorrows and misunderstanding if not professionally run.

In this article i'm going to write some few factors which were left out by most people who wrote on how to start business. Downloading the requirements and the path on Google is not enough if you want your business to be viable and if you want to enjoy the journey.

On top of the downloaded material to start a business the founder must have the following attributes:

Creative

Business in Zimbabwe is not a journey of lazy minded people, one must be extra creative to cope and be able to solve daily challenges of the business. In Zimbabwe business are negatively affected daily and if you used the copy and paste technique, it’s unfortunate sooner than the market knows your presence you will be closed.

Hard work

People are over bossing, staying at home and assign the workers to run through the day, this is a sign of lack of business mind, not knowledge. Such a business will never grow but will remain dwarf and sooner close, when you start your business you must be seen not only walking around the premises but strategizing on the growth and making policies and procedures of your business. These are designed from realizing how the business is running daily.

Punctuality

Punctuality earns you respect from your workers and business associates. If you are not all workers will lose respect on you, your associates will opt to exclude you in their associations. Respect is never demanded but is earned through the way you conduct yourself as a director of a business.

Professionalism

In all business ventures, whatever type of business professionalism is of paramount importance, some of us don’t understand why should he/she look professional, it’s because you are venturing into a professional field, find a coach if you feel you need training on professionalism, your business reputation has another wing linked to professionalism.
